These are one of our newer Fire Balls Products!

These because of their surface finish, ceramic, these are virtually soot free! With the proper placement you will never get soot on these ceramic fire balls. We have tested these for a few hundred hours and with 100% success! There was a small bit of soot deposit on a few of the fire balls when placed in the middle of the very large flame, but it whipped off with out any effort. Along with the ceramic fire balls in the center area you will also see our 2 1/2" diamonds being tested as well. These were tested in the shop/ showroom with great success. The base glass we tested on was Starfire and several toppers from customers testing toppers colors while shopping at our showroom.

The fireplace below has a base of black and black reflective with firestones on top.

The fireplace below has a bed of bronze with amber, yellow amber and dark red orange. The FireShapes finished it off.

The fireplace below is in Hope Ranch, Santa Barbara, California. First we installed the double "H" burner.

Then we pour 2" of crushed lava rock as a base over the burners.

Now we pour the Black Magic (you'll soon see why).

The we add one match and poof, BLUE FLAMES!

The we start to add 8" fireballs

A total of 32 8" fireballs in natural color were added

The customer had a green theme and so we topped it off with our Green coating.

As the evening went on the ambient heat drew the flames higher trough the fireballs and the blue was just pure magic. The End!

The fireplace below had starfire installed for a clean simple look.

The 4" fireballs were placed on a bed of crushed lava rock.

These decorative Fire Rocks are made of a high-heat resistant ceramic-bonded refractory material, that unlike real stones, will not explode in fire.

The fireplace pictures below were sent to us from our customer who used Black Base Glass and Black Reflective Base Glass FireGlass with Fire Stones.

The fire pit pictures below are of a simple overflow water feature with Fire Stones all around. We used a 30" fire ring with a round side feed. We make custom rings for either for propane or natural gas fire pits or fireplaces.

The fire pit pictures below were taken by and for the Sweat Equity weekly HGTV Do It Yourself TV Show. The FireGlass that was installed was: Starfire Base Glass FireGlass, Blue Diamonds, Ford Blue Base Glass, with an 18" stainless steel fire pit ring burner with out the center to accommodate the water feature. All of the fire glass was placed around the pile of fire rocks in the center. The top of the table is removable if you ever needed to service the water pump or any other reason. Always build and design it with replacement or repair in mind.

Disclaimer
FireBalls, Fire-Shapes & Fire-Stone

COLORATION: Solid Concrete FireBalls, Fire Shapes, and Fire Stones are not a paint-based coating. They are a water based ceramic stain formulation that is made for fire use. This ceramic stain application will provide a fairly consistent covering, unfortunately not all castings absorb at the same rate. Some soak up all the coloration resulting in a "thin" look. When this occurs, we cannot "double dip", as the 2nd coating will reside on the surface; and will peel under heat.

In sum, there will be variations in the same color from time to time and piece to piece. The staining penetrates the base material to provide certain colorfastness under heat; unattainable by regular paint. Yet, over time and continual usage - the surface layer will burn away.

CRACKING: Hollow Terra Cotta FireBalls are not to exceed temperatures of 600 degrees. If placed directly on the fire, under excessive heat, over a long period of time, the FireBalls will crack. We would advise the following guidelines: If directly in the flames, run a low to medium flame, and remove when planning to run on high flame. Place the FireBalls behind the flames, and or in front of the flames. If FireBalls are in the flame, Do-Not place the opening of the hollow fireball down, allowing the flame to enter the hollow FireBall. Have the opening facing away from the flame (ideally facing the back of the fireplace).

Porcelain coated, Terra Cotta FireBalls (hallow): These are handmade 2-piece construction, and then porcelain coated. Because of the nature and construction of these FireBalls and the actual material, there is no guarantee to the finished look. The porcelain is applied and fired up to 2200 degrees. The rate and adhesion is different with every batch of balls manufactured. Some may be shinier the others and or smoother. Some may be and can have a rougher texture than the previous batch. There is nothing wrong with the FireBalls just because they look different than any other previous balls manufactured or purchased.

If directly in the flames, run a low to medium flame, and remove when planning to run on high flame.

Place the balls behind the flames, and or in front of the flames.

If FireBalls are in the flame, Do-Not place the opening of the hollow FireBall down, allowing the flame to enter the hollow fireball. Have the opening facing away from the flame (ideally facing the back of the fireplace).

Chemistry and Physics class, now pay attention!

Water vaporizes 1,700 times its size, that’s a lot! So if your FireBalls are wet or have been subjected to moisture, they will crack or explode if they are heated too quickly (try to keep them covered when not in use). Turn your fire on low to dry the FireBalls completely. If you choose to do otherwise, you can or will cause damage, accept responsibility. The FireBalls are designed as a creative design element to place in your outdoor or indoor fireplace or fire pit.

Yes, there are rules and you must abide by the rules or you will damage your person, property or the FireBalls themselves. Used respectfully, they will work as intended, if misused or used incorrectly, there can be and will be consequences. Please use your fires responsibly. For those of you who cannot follow rules and live on the edge, maybe this product is not for you.

Shipping has become an issue so all orders will and must be signed for. No package will be left at your door unless you sign for it. This is called an indirect or direct signature request.
