The pictures below are of John Hanson in Northern California and he did a pan burner we provided and installed it himself.
A clear base with 3/4" clear on top
Here is how it all started

The bottom of the pan goes in

The top goes on and you light it

Now the glass

and now the magic

This is how the pan started

There you have it, simple as that. Great job John Hanson!

The propane conversion was here in Southern California. Crista brought the bowl and we did the rest.

Crista brought the top pan and lid and we installed a propane burner We installed one of our FPPK kits (fire pit propane kit)

This is the table Crista built to hold the copper pan/ bowl

The fire pit below has a "FPPK" propane burner installed and the burners were exchanged out for stainless steel. If you were to leave the steel burners in you will eventually have rust pouring out of your fire pit onto the patio which will not look very attractive! The glass used was 1/2" gray and ford blue. The controls were inside the bottom housing, nice fire pit but almost a big oops.

nice design.

below you can see where the controls were to be mounted

above you can see the steel ready to rust and make a mess. Remember you get what you pay for.

This fireplace contained 1 piece of each color of topper on a bed of starfire.
Here is a fireplace before and after with clear

THESE WILL BE OUR NEWEST FIRE PITS WITH GRANITE TOPS AND OF COURSE GLASSEL IN THE FIRE PIT AND YOUR CHOICE OF COLOR. THESE WILL BE NATURAL GAS OR PROPANE BOTTLE FUELED. WE WILL POST MORE DETAILS IN A FEW DAYS.

The fireplace below has a base of starfire and topped with dark red orange
